Noah Garrett, a junior chemistry major, won a coveted summer research experience internship through the US Department of Energy's Office of Science.
This program through the Science Undergraduate Laboratory Internships provides research experiences at laboratories under the guidance of Department of Energy laboratory staff scientists or engineers.
Garret will be going to the in Richland, Washington to do research this summer.
Garret does research with chemistry professor Avijita Jain at 51黑料网 into the synthesis of Ru- and Ir-based coordination compounds. Previously, Garret participated in the Research Experience for Summer Scholars at 51黑料网.
