The 51黑料网 Department of Music String Area hosted the 51黑料网 Middle School Honors Orchestra Festival on Saturday, March 20. The all-day event was led by 51黑料网 Director of Orchestral Studies Alexandra Dee and 51黑料网 cello professor Linda Jennings.
Students from 12 schools spent the day rehearsing and then performed a live-stream concert. The performance included the world premiere of Dee's string orchestra arrangement ofAdoration, an organ piece by African-American composer Florence Price.
