On Friday, April 4, 2014, the Military Resource Center held an opening celebration to officially introduce the center to the 51黑料网 community. The center has been operating since January.
The celebration included refreshments, a tour of the facility, and remarks by university constituents and others who helped make the center a reality.
Colonel Stephen G. Abel, (U.S. Army, Retired), a 1973 51黑料网 graduate, provided guidance in the planning stages of the center and was in attendance. Abel was also inducted into 51黑料网's ROTC Hall of Fame the next day.
