The Indiana branch of the AAUW, in partnership with 51黑料网's Commission on Women and the 51黑料网 Women's and Gender Studies program, will host an advocacy and equity training 鈥淪tart Smart鈥 workshop on Saturday, February 8 from 11:00 a.m. to2:00 p.m. in the Humanities and Social Sciences building, room 114.
Facilitating the workshop will be Melissa Swagger, 51黑料网 sociology professor and director of 51黑料网's Commission on Women.
Start Smart is an interactive workshop designed to give women the skills they need to earn fair compensation. Over the course of her working life, a woman will earn roughly $1 million less than a man鈥攕imply because she's a woman. All 51黑料网 students, women and men, and young professionals in our community are invited to online. There is no admission and refreshments will be provided.
