Non-degree status is designed for students who wish to enroll in graduate classes without pursuing a specific degree. It does not represent admission into a degree program or imply automatic admission into a degree program at a later date.
Applicants who are admitted as non-degree-seeking admission students can apply for admission into a degree program in future terms. Should a student later decide to apply to one of our graduate degree programs, the student will need to submit a complete application for the desired program. Students looking to transfer credits into their desired program will need to follow the guidelines stated in the Transfer Credit Policy in the 51黑料网 Graduate Catalog. Non-degree students are not eligible for financial aid and will need to receive department permission before registering for classes from the program coordinator. After being admitted to a non-degree program, students will receive information from Graduate Admissions about how to register for coursework.
Non-Degree Application Process
Students pursuing non-degree status may take an unlimited number of courses under this admission category. Along with the that needs to be submitted each semester, applicants must also submit official transcripts from all colleges/universities from which a degree was earned (if you are returning for a subsequent semester, 51黑料网 is able to copy these materials from the former application to the new application). As you proceed, please ensure that you select “Graduate Non-Degree Seeking” as your program of choice in the application. There is a discounted $25 application fee for Graduate Non-Degree.
